We call ladies who dance "RA-QESAH", meaning dancer. And in Egyptian dialect, we call her "RA-ASSAH". Folkoric dancers are called "RA-ASSAH SHAABY".
Yes, it sounds like an obsession with naming and categorising Layla. Just dance the music, express the melody and rhythm and I would not worry about what it is called if I was you. Just concentrate on learning the piece of music you are dancing, choose suitable movement and enterpretations to the changes of the music. It will much more benefecial.
